The Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Finance and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank signed a framework agreement covering a 2026–2028 financing plan. The agreement establishes a basis for mobilizing the bank’s resources in stages, subject to project readiness and the completion of required review and approval procedures. Finance Minister Ruslan Suynaliev also discussed expanding long-term financing for priority projects with Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank President Zou Jiayi. Potential areas include infrastructure, energy, urban development, water management, transport, housing and health care. Suynaliev proposed additional financing mechanisms and asked the bank to consider opening a representative office in Bishkek to support project preparation and implementation.
