The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has released analytical data on the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s foreign currency reserves and foreign currency liquidity as at the end of June 2025, published in the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity. The HKMA noted that the template is published monthly in accordance with the IMF’s Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS). It also reiterated that it issues four Exchange Fund data press releases each month, comprising three SDDS-related monetary data releases and a fourth release on the Exchange Fund’s abridged balance sheet and the Currency Board Account under its transparency policy. For July 2025, the SDDS international reserves release was scheduled for 7 July and the SDDS analytical accounts of the central bank release for 14 July, with the SDDS reserves and liquidity template and the Exchange Fund abridged balance sheet and Currency Board Account both scheduled for 31 July.
