Brazil’s Securities Commission (CVM), through its Superintendence of Investor Guidance and Sustainable Finance (SOI), issued Circular Letter CVM/SOI 1/2025 to notify market participants that it will begin verifying compliance of Ombudsman (Ouvidoria) Reports against the obligations set out in CVM Resolution 43 starting in the second half of 2025. SOI will semiannually select a supervisory sample from the Ombudsman functions of capital markets participants using a methodology and objective criteria defined in advance. Selected Ombudsman functions will be notified by official letter and required to submit the semiannual report referenced in Article 12, Annex A of CVM Resolution 43. The first review will use the report for the first half of 2025 as its reference.

Brazil’s Securities Commission (CVM) will verify compliance of Ombudsman Reports with CVM Resolution 43 starting in the second half of 2025. The Superintendence of Investor Guidance and Sustainable Finance (SOI) will semiannually select a supervisory sample from capital markets participants using predefined criteria. Selected participants will be notified and required to submit the semiannual report as per Article 12, Annex A of CVM Resolution 43.
