The Central Bank of Slovenia announced that Primož Dolenc has taken up the position of Governor, joining the central bank’s Governing Board for a six-year term starting on 1 March 2026. Dolenc was appointed by Slovenia’s National Assembly on 3 February 2026 following a proposal by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, and was confirmed in a secret ballot with 55 votes in favour. He becomes the sixth Governor of the Central Bank of Slovenia, and the term may be renewed.

Primož Dolenc has assumed the role of Governor of the Central Bank of Slovenia, beginning his six-year term on 1 March 2026.
