Thailand’s Office of Insurance Commission (OIC), through its Advanced Insurance Institute, has formally opened the third cohort of its Super WPS executive programme, with the OIC Secretary-General delivering a keynote on “Shaping the Future: Emerging Trends in Insurance Regulatory Framework”. The programme is positioned as a leadership and knowledge platform to support risk management and regulatory readiness for a rapidly changing risk environment. Cohort 3 has 67 participants, drawn from senior executives and organisational leaders across the public and private sectors, and selected from alumni of the institute’s advanced insurance programme (cohorts 1–12) with strong records and ongoing engagement or contributions to the OIC and the institute. The curriculum is described as more intensive than prior cohorts and covers emerging risks linked to global factors such as climate change, pandemics and international conflict, alongside InsurTech developments and risk management innovation. It also includes a “Super CEO Special Talk” and requires participants to produce an academic paper compiling knowledge and policy recommendations for the future development of Thailand’s insurance sector. The training is scheduled to run from March to June 2025.
