Deposits stood at USD 22.3 billion, Special Drawing Rights at USD 15.6 billion, gold at USD 4.8 billion and the country's International Monetary Fund position at USD 4.3 billion. Compared with end-May, deposits increased by USD 0.9 billion, while securities fell by USD 0.3 billion and both SDRs and the IMF position edged down by USD 0.1 billion each. The release also said Korea's foreign reserve holdings ranked 13th in the world as of end-May 2026.
