The Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission and the Stock Exchange of Thailand held the first Investor Meetup @SEC to explain regulatory and market developments and gather investors’ views. The forum provided an update on the SEC’s broader capital market reform agenda, following its earlier review of progress on measures intended to address structural market issues. The SEC covered trading supervision measures aimed at reducing abnormal price volatility, initiatives to improve listed company quality, good practices for earnings calls, stronger supervision and enforcement across the process, and progress on the Thailand Individual Savings Account scheme. The Stock Exchange of Thailand also reviewed its investor services and market development work, including Bond Connect and the JUMP+ program, which has 142 participating listed companies. The two agencies expect to continue holding investor communication events, taking turns as host and sharing information directly with investors.
