The Guernsey Financial Services Commission announced that it will host its next Digital Forum roundtable on 1 December under its Digital Finance Initiative, focusing on “Artificial Intelligence in Finance: Innovation, Oversight and Opportunity”. The Commission framed the event as a forum for dialogue with firms considering AI adoption and signalled openness to the use of technology to meet regulatory expectations. The session will be held at the Commission’s Regency Court offices and will run in two formats: an Industry Roundtable for regulated and registered financial services firms at 9:00, followed by a Service Providers Roundtable at 14:00 for technology specialists, IT professionals, cybersecurity consultants, and other providers working with AI solutions. The roundtable follows an internal review that identified growing interest in AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency, strengthen risk management, and improve client and customer service, and will be used to understand how firms are approaching AI, identify barriers to adoption, and encourage cross-industry knowledge sharing.
