The Chile Financial Market Commission (CMF) has launched a consultation on two sets of Regulatory File proposals that set the format, submission channels and deadlines for supervisory reporting under General Rule No. 526 for General Fund Managers and other entities registered as portfolio managers. The CMF also moved the entry into force of General Rule No. 526 to 1 July 2026 to allow firms time to implement the required developments. The proposals would incorporate new Regulatory Files into the Information Systems Manual for Funds for General Fund Managers and introduce reporting requirements for other Registry of Portfolio Managers entities that are not General Fund Managers and not securities intermediaries. The reporting templates cover business volume and number of customers, minimum equity and risk-weighted assets, equity requirements and crypto risk-weighted assets, and portfolio management information, supporting supervision of minimum equity and collateral requirements under Titles I and II of Law No. 20,712. Comments can be submitted via the CMF website’s Regulations Under Consultation section until 15 September 2025, alongside a Regulatory Report outlining the core elements and impact assessments.
