The Panama Superintendency of the Securities Market reminded individuals and legal entities holding specified SMV licences that the annual supervision fee for 2026 must be paid within 30 calendar days in January 2026, and noted that Agreement No. 2-2025 repeals the requirement to submit the RP form for supervision-fee payments. The reminder applies to holders of licences including Principal Executive, Principal Executive of Investment Manager, Securities Broker, Analyst, Investment Adviser, Investment Manager, Securities Market Administrative Services Provider, Risk Rating Agency, Price Provider Entity, and broker-dealers (fourth quarter 2025). Payments may be made by certified or cashier’s cheque payable to the SMV, by bank transfer, or via a point-of-sale terminal at SMV premises (available since December 2025); bank transfers require prior coordination with the Treasury Department to obtain bank details and submission of proof of payment, after which a PDF receipt is issued by email, with original receipts available for collection.
