The National Bank of Georgia and partner supervisory and accounting bodies have launched the 2026 Best Annual Report and Transparency Award competition, continuing an annual initiative established in 2019 to improve corporate reporting and transparency. BARTA 2026 is open to category one companies and groups and all public interest entities, with applications closing Nov. 10, 2026. Eligible listed companies with unqualified audit opinions will be assessed automatically, while other public interest entities, including companies admitted to trading, must nominate themselves. Reports will be assessed across four company groups covering large and small and medium-sized financial and nonfinancial companies. BARTA has separated the financial and nonfinancial awards for small and medium-sized companies for the first time and introduced a state enterprise transparency and reporting award. Other distinctions will recognize sustainability reporting, a first-time entrant and a jury-selected company that demonstrated notable achievement, innovation, progress or commitment to transparency in 2026. Winners across eight prize categories will be announced in February 2027.
