The Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency of Türkiye has updated the “Value Loss Expert Report” used in motor traffic insurance, as part of its measures to minimise disputes between insurers and claimants over vehicle value loss. The revised report template is designed to align with judicial decisions and support the assessment and compensation of claimants’ losses under the principle of actual loss, with the aim of enabling value loss claims to be paid without becoming the subject of disputes and making processes more efficient. The agency noted that work to reduce value loss disputes is being carried out in consultation with stakeholders and that additional measures are planned to be implemented in the near term.
