Norway's Department of Finance, together with the Expert Council for the Government Pension Fund Global (SPU), has announced an open seminar on 26 January 2026 where the council will present its report. The programme also includes a presentation by Norges Handelshøyskole academics Trond M. Døskeland and André Wattø Sjuve on their assessment of Norges Bank’s active management of SPU, delivered to the ministry on 1 December 2025 as part of its ongoing review. The seminar will run from 12:00 to 14:00 at the R5 auditorium in Akersgata 59 and can be followed in person or via a live stream on regjeringen.no. Due to capacity limits, physical attendance requires registration by 23 January 2026 at 16:00; the agenda includes opening remarks by Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg, the Expert Council’s assessments, comments from Norges Bank by Deputy Governor Øystein Børsum and Nicolai Tangen, and Q&A sessions.
