The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the launch of actuarial courses on the skills.enbek.kz online platform under the minimum mandatory programme for training actuaries in Kazakhstan. The project was implemented by the Insurance Payments Guarantee Fund with the Agency’s support and is positioned as a pathway to help learners prepare for actuarial exams and develop skills relevant to obtaining a professional actuary licence. The specialised courses are designed to build capacity in financial risk analysis and management, covering core topics including insurance, pension and investment programmes, as well as financial analysis using mathematical and statistical methods. Teaching is delivered by licensed actuaries in Kazakhstan and the Agency’s specialist actuaries, with an emphasis on practical application; the Agency also noted that actuarial training is currently provided by the Society of Actuaries of Kazakhstan and Narxoz University. The first actuarial course is available free of charge, with a second course planned to be uploaded in February and an expansion to all 10 courses planned over the year.
