The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) revoked the service provider licence of Warden Wellness Centre Ltd. and imposed an administrative penalty of CAD 10,000 on Anusuya Gobinathan, its Principal Representative, after the Financial Services Tribunal dismissed their request for a hearing and ordered FSRA to proceed with enforcement. FSRA found that Warden Wellness provided false, misleading and incomplete information, contrary to section 447(2)(a) of Ontario’s Insurance Act, and that its past conduct provided reasonable grounds to believe it would not carry out its business in accordance with the law or with integrity and honesty. Gobinathan was penalised for providing false, misleading and incomplete information to FSRA on Warden Wellness’ service provider licence application, also contrary to section 447(2)(a).
