The Central Bank of Kenya announced it has attained ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 certification for its Information Technology Service Management, confirming its IT service management meets internationally recognised standards. The certification programme began in March 2023 under the Bank’s 2021–2024 Strategic Plan and was subsequently realigned to the 2024–2027 Strategic Framework under the service excellence pillar. CBK linked the adoption of the ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 standard to its priorities on resilience, sustainability, digital transformation and human capital development through structured service management processes aimed at reliable, efficient and secure service delivery.
