The National Bank of Serbia published an update on installment payments using the national Dina card, reporting turnover of RSD 13bn in 2024, up 27% from around RSD 10bn in 2023. It also highlighted that Dina cardholders at Postal Savings Bank, Banca Intesa and NLB Komercijalna Banka can pay in installments using their available funds without taking out additional bank credit. Installment payments with Dina cards are available at more than 15,000 points of sale in Serbia and the acceptance network is expanding as merchant and user interest grows. The number of installments is set by the user at the time of purchase, and the service was positioned as an alternative to cheque-based installment payments, citing faster processing and the absence of cheque-writing and related spending restrictions.
