The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) announced it will participate in the National Financial Services Week celebrations organised by the Ministry of Finance, running from 19 to 26 January 2026 at the Usagara Grounds in the Tanga region, to promote public understanding of financial matters and the use of formal financial services. At its exhibition stand, TIRA will provide insurance education covering the main types of insurance available in Tanzania, including motor vehicle, property and life insurance, as well as Universal Health Insurance, with a focus on how insurance can protect lives, health and assets against different risks. The programme will be supported by collaboration with both public and private insurance companies, and TIRA invited residents of the Tanga region to attend and receive information.
