The Central Bank of Poland published monetary statistics showing that the M3 money supply increased by PLN 16.7bn in September 2025 to PLN 2,642.7bn at end-month. The rise was mainly driven by higher cash in circulation and an increase in deposits and other claims of other financial institutions and local government institutions. Cash in circulation rose by PLN 11.9bn (2.8%) to PLN 442.4bn. Deposits and other claims included in M3 increased for other financial institutions by PLN 3.1bn (4.3%) to PLN 76.4bn, for local government institutions by PLN 2.7bn (2.4%) to PLN 114.5bn, and for households by PLN 1.7bn (0.1%) to PLN 1,393.3bn. On the counterparts side, the net debt of central government entities increased by PLN 39.6bn (7.8%) to PLN 547.3bn and household sector debt rose by PLN 3.8bn (0.5%) to PLN 820.9bn, while the debt of other financial institutions fell by PLN 13.4bn (6.3%) to PLN 200.3bn.
