The Angola Capital Markets Commission (CMC) participated in a financial inclusion workshop aimed at former combatants and veterans, as well as widows and descendants, held at the Dr António Agostinho Neto Memorial in Luanda. Represented by Luísa Amaro from its Department of Studies, Strategy, Development and Communication, the CMC used the session to raise awareness of responsible investment, investor protection, the prevention of abusive practices, and the role of capital markets in inclusive economic development. The workshop, themed “Bongo, Kukole, Kuvanga e Vuluza: Dinheiro é Poupar, Investir e Proteger”, was promoted by the League of Veterans of the Liberation War of Angola and the Forum of Fighters of the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale. It focused on strengthening financial literacy, banking and access to formal financial services, social protection and education, and included a presentation by financial educator Cátia Franck, chair of the board of the Angola Financial Literacy Academy.
