The Central Bank of the UAE and Mastercard concluded a four-day capacity-building programme to strengthen the central bank’s expertise in managing emerging fraud risks across the digital payments ecosystem. Mastercard Academy delivered the programme to 25 employees from various areas of the central bank at its Abu Dhabi headquarters. Technical sessions and case studies covered digital payments, emerging commerce models and fraud risks, as well as fraud detection and mitigation practices across card issuing and acceptance environments. The programme forms part of the organizations’ ongoing collaboration on institutional capabilities and financial system security.
