The South Korea Financial Services Commission and Korea Exchange have opened the inaugural Korea Premium Weeks 2026, beginning the previously announced three-week program of capital markets policy discussions, investor meetings and industry events. About 400 participants attended the opening, including global investors, international organizations, index providers, sovereign wealth funds, domestic financial firms and listed companies. Initial policy sessions covered capital market reform, corporate governance and foreign exchange market changes. Subsequent events through Oct. 16 will address trading hours and shorter settlement cycles, KOSDAQ competitiveness, investor protection, growth companies, venture exits and bond markets, alongside meetings between Korean listed companies and global investors. The commission plans to hold Korea Premium Weeks regularly as a platform for presenting market reforms and gathering investor views.
