The Joint Committee of the European Supervisory Authorities, bringing together the European Banking Authority, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority and the European Securities and Markets Authority, published its 2024 Annual Report outlining the joint work completed over the past year and its monitoring of emerging risks for market participants and the financial system. The report highlights cross-sectoral priorities during 2024, including joint risk assessments, sustainable finance, operational risk and digital resilience, consumer protection, financial innovation, securitisation, financial conglomerates and the European Single Access Point. Key deliverables included policy products supporting implementation of the Digital Operational Resilience Act and continued work related to the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation, with ESMA chairing the Joint Committee and coordination taking place with the European Commission and the European Systemic Risk Board.
