The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority has launched a new digital platform for receiving regulatory reports from companies and other entities under its supervision, positioning it as a preparatory phase ahead of requiring full electronic submission across the non-banking financial sector. The platform allows firms to file regulatory reports and documents with an electronic signature, with the signature’s validity verified in cooperation with Delta Electronic Systems, an electronic signature certification service provider authorised by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency. The authority expects the platform to speed up data flows, improve the quality and accuracy of information submitted, and support faster supervisory follow-up, inspection and analysis through a unified communication channel with supervised entities.
