The Angola Insurance Authority (ARSEG) and the Angolan Venture Capital Fund (FACRA) signed a cooperation protocol to reinforce institutional cooperation focused on supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and increasing insurance penetration in the Angolan economy. The protocol sets a joint strategic framework to promote an insurance culture among MSMEs and support compliance with Decree No. 53/05 of 15 August on the legal regime for work accidents and occupational diseases. It provides for coordinated awareness-raising to encourage MSMEs to take out insurance, information sharing to strengthen policyholder protection, and institutional coordination mechanisms covering dissemination, training and technical cooperation.
