Davit Onoprishvili, head of the Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia, attended the Insured 360° international insurance conference in Ljubljana and held regional and bilateral meetings with insurance supervisors. Discussions focused on consumer protection and trust, financial security amid rising longevity, climate and natural catastrophe risks, and the impact of artificial intelligence on insurance. A regional meeting with supervisors from Central and Eastern Europe and Transcaucasia covered International Association of Insurance Supervisors Executive Committee initiatives, regional priorities and supervisory coordination. Onoprishvili also met counterparts from Hungary, Montenegro, Morocco, California and the Bahamas to discuss current supervisory issues and potential areas of cooperation.
