The South African Reserve Bank and the South African Foreign Exchange Committee have launched a public register where foreign exchange market participants can publish voluntary Statements of Commitment to the FX Global Code. The register primarily covers wholesale market participants operating in South Africa and provides a central repository for commitments across South Africa and the Southern African Development Community region. Participants outside South Africa may request inclusion if their statements follow the standard FX Global Code format. The register will be linked to the Global Index of Public Registers, while inclusion does not constitute endorsement, validation, supervision or oversight by the South African Reserve Bank.
