The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP), represented by Director for Market Organization and Conduct Regulation Jéssica Bastos, took part in the 13th International Congress of the Brazilian Institute of Construction Law in São Paulo and outlined how new legislation affects the construction insurance market and the practical role of regulatory alignment in strengthening risk mitigation. The congress, held from 21 to 22 August, convened national and international authorities and industry specialists to discuss regulatory innovation, sustainability and legal certainty in works and contracts. In the panel “Insurance in Construction: New Regulatory Framework and Practical Challenges”, Bastos said SUSEP is closely monitoring the impacts of regulatory changes in civil construction and that its supervisory approach aims to ensure insurance functions as an effective legal and technical protection tool, supporting the safety of projects and the parties involved.
