The Montenegro Capital Market Authority said its representatives met financial institutions in Luxembourg on July 8 and 9 as part of its international cooperation work and the implementation of the Green Agenda. The discussions focused on European Union taxonomy, ESG standards, sustainable finance, the green economy and options for future cooperation, alongside broader exchange on applying European market practices. The delegation met the European Investment Bank, the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, Luxembourg House of Financial Technology and LuxFLAG. Talks with the stock exchange covered the legislative framework for company listings, the development of ESG standards and green bonds in particular. At LHoFT, the delegation reviewed fintech solutions in fund management, tokenization, cryptoassets, back-office systems and venture capital funds investing in startups. The meeting with LuxFLAG focused on sustainable finance labeling. The authority framed the exchange with these institutions as support for building its capacity to apply ESG principles, develop green financial instruments and further integrate Montenegro's capital market into the European sustainable finance framework.
