The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina published a reminder of the deadlines for exchanging BAM 10, BAM 20, BAM 50 and BAM 100 banknotes issued between 1998 and 2009 that were withdrawn from circulation and ceased to be legal tender on 31 December 2024. Holders can exchange these banknotes at commercial banks in Bosnia and Herzegovina until 31 December 2025. From 1 January 2026, exchange will be available through the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 10 years, ending on 31 December 2035, at its locations in Sarajevo (Maršala Tita 25) and Banja Luka (Vidovdanska 19). The central bank said it will publish an act by the end of 2025 setting out the exchange procedure at the central bank from 2026.

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina reminded the public of the deadlines for exchanging BAM 10, BAM 20, BAM 50, and BAM 100 banknotes issued between 1998 and 2009. These notes, withdrawn from circulation, can be exchanged at commercial banks until 31 December 2025, and at the central bank from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2035. An act detailing the exchange procedure at the central bank will be published by the end of 2025.
