The Bank of Greece reported that total assets of occupational pension funds increased by EUR 231 million, or 8.1%, during the second quarter of 2026, reaching EUR 3.09 billion. Growth was concentrated in investment fund shares and equities, largely reflecting higher domestic and foreign market prices. Investment fund holdings rose to EUR 1.14 billion and represented 37.0% of total assets, while equities increased to EUR 528 million and 17.1%. Debt securities climbed to EUR 1.26 billion through net bond purchases and higher foreign bond prices, although their portfolio share fell to 40.7% from 42.5%. Deposits increased by EUR 13 million to EUR 109 million and remained 3.5% of assets.
