The National Bank of Moldova published an overview of the legal and procedural framework it uses to ensure transparency in its rulemaking and decision-making, alongside summary metrics on its 2024 regulatory and public consultation activity. The framework references Moldova’s Law No. 100/2017 on normative acts, Law No. 239/2008 on transparency in the decision-making process, Government Decision No. 967/2016 on public consultation procedures with civil society, and the National Bank’s internal transparency regulation. Draft normative acts subject to public consultation are posted on the National Bank’s website, with an online archive covering 2011–2024. For 2024, the National Bank reported 25 decisions adopted, 32 draft decisions consulted publicly, seven consultative meetings or public sessions, and 1,553 recommendations received, with zero challenges or sanctions related to non-compliance with transparency rules.
