The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission published remarks from Secretary-General Chuchat Pramoolpol at THAIFA Convention 2025, urging life insurance agents to modernise their role and build deeper customer trust by acting as professional advisors and value creators rather than product sellers. Speaking to more than 20,000 agents and financial advisors, he distinguished between outward “image” and the deeper customer “impression” grounded in confidence and credibility, arguing that career success should be measured not only by sales but by trust, promise-keeping and being a dependable support for customers. He highlighted the Thai Life Assurance and Financial Advisor Association’s ongoing education and training efforts, and noted that as of end-2024 Thailand’s life insurance sector recorded over THB 650bn in total premiums, with the agent channel accounting for more than 50% of the market.
