The Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission has launched a consultation on draft annual fee rules for securities and derivatives business operators, following its June-July 2026 consultation on the underlying principles. The draft would double the annual fee for investment advisory businesses from THB 25,000 to THB 50,000 and introduce a THB 50,000 annual fee for derivatives dealers. The fee calculation base for investment unit dealers would be expanded to include investment unit purchases. For derivatives agents, it would also cover transactions on foreign derivatives exchanges and over-the-counter derivatives. Maximum fee rates for securities and derivatives businesses would rise to better reflect supervisory costs and reduce disparities among operators. The notification is scheduled to take effect Jan. 1, 2027.
