The Central Bank of Chile has opened a public application process to support the appointment of two full members and two alternate members of the Tribunal for the Defense of Free Competition. Under the process, the Central Bank will submit three shortlists to the President of the Republic for the appointment of two full members (one lawyer and one economist) and the alternate lawyer member, while the Central Bank’s Council will directly appoint the alternate economist member. Appointees will serve six-year terms, with mandates taking effect from the date set in the relevant supreme decree issued by the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism. Applications must be submitted via the Central Bank’s dedicated digital platform between 30 January 2026 at 09:00 and 6 March 2026 at 18:00, inclusive. The application rules are available on the Central Bank’s website, and process queries are handled through the same platform.
