The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank has appointed Mr Niguel Streete as the Official Administrator for Financial Investment and Consultancy Services Limited (FICS), effective 6 January 2025, using its powers under Part IX, Section 114 of Saint Lucia’s Banking Act, 2015. Mr Streete has assumed responsibility for the management and operations of FICS. The appointment was made in consultation and collaboration with FICS’ board of directors and management. FICS remains open, continues to be licensed to carry on banking business in Saint Lucia, and remains under the ECCB’s regulatory oversight. The ECCB stated that the Official Administrator, supported by FICS staff and the Central Bank, will manage the institution in a manner intended to protect depositors’ interests.
