The Bank of Korea published preliminary price statistics for February 2026 showing the Producer Price Index (PPI) increased by 0.6% from January and by 2.4% from a year earlier. The release also reported the Domestic Supply Price Index up 0.5% month on month (1.3% year on year) and the Total Output Price Index up 0.9% month on month (4.2% year on year). Within the PPI, agricultural, forestry and marine products rose 2.4% month on month, manufacturing products increased 0.5%, electric power, gas, water and waste increased 0.1%, and services increased 0.6%. The Domestic Supply Price Index rose across stages of production, with raw materials up 0.7%, intermediate goods and services up 0.6%, and final goods and services up 0.2%. The Bank of Korea noted the February indexes are preliminary and may be revised in the next month’s release; the next preliminary PPI release (for March 2026) is scheduled for April 22.
