Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defence of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) awarded Grupo Financiero Banorte the Sáasil Insignia, recognising initiatives that promote gender equity and women’s economic independence through products and services designed to address structural gaps. The recognition highlighted Banorte’s Mujer PyME Banorte solution, which since launch has provided more than MXN 1.5bn in financing to over 3,500 Mexican women entrepreneurs. Banorte has strengthened the programme by improving credit terms and simplifying requirements to facilitate access to credit and support the growth of women-led businesses nationwide. CONDUSEF noted that the distinction is granted following an evaluation covering internal policies, innovation, accessibility, financial education and institutional transparency.
