Dominican Republic's Pensions Superintendency (SIPEN) awarded completion certificates to 30 staff from the Directorate General of Retirement and Pensions Charged to the State (DGJP) for a diploma programme on Regulation, Investments, Workers and Savings (R.I.T.A.) within the Dominican pension system. The training was positioned as a capacity-building initiative to deepen pension expertise, promote critical analysis and support a continuous-improvement culture, with participants expected to act as knowledge multipliers within their institutions. SIPEN Superintendent Francisco A. Torres highlighted the value of strengthening public servants’ understanding of the pension system for use in their work and in responding to citizen enquiries, while DGJP Director General Juan Rosa linked the programme to the DGJP’s broader training efforts, noting it forms part of 249 trainings delivered over the past five years and framing it as part of ongoing coordination between the two bodies.
