The Central Bank of Russia published an Analytical Review of the Credit Information System for 2025, reporting increased use of credit history bureau data by both individuals and lenders. It recorded a 4% rise in the number of credit reports obtained by individuals in 2025, which it linked to growing financial literacy. Use of credit history bureau services by microfinance organisations expanded sharply, with the number of credit scorings provided to them increasing by a factor of 1.6 over the year. Banks and microfinance organisations showed the greatest interest in credit reports, while other organisations such as consumer credit cooperatives, lessors, mortgage agents, insurance companies, and collection agencies mainly requested credit scorings. The central bank also estimated that in 2025 H2 each RUB spent on a credit report could reduce the amount of an overdue loan by more than RUB 337.
