The Bank of the Lao PDR has begun its 2026 training program for state inspection work in the banking sector, covering 65 participants from the central bank’s departments and regional offices and from commercial banks. The five-day program runs from July 27 to July 31, 2026. The training covers inspections of internal control systems and financial reporting documents, the use of artificial intelligence in inspection work and lessons on professional conduct. It is intended to strengthen inspectors’ capabilities and support the practical application of inspection methods.
