The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan has revoked the licence of D.M. Autolombard LLP to conduct microfinance activities, under an order dated 1 August 2025 issued by the head of the Agency’s Astana regional office. The revocation was based on the firm’s systematic failure to comply with the authorised body’s written instructions. Under the law, within 30 calendar days from the date the decision was taken the firm must either complete a re-registration process removing the word “lombard” and related terms or abbreviations from its name that imply microcredit activity, or decide on reorganisation or liquidation. Clients with unfulfilled obligations under microcredit agreements remain liable for non-performance in line with the terms of their contracts.
