The Democratic Republic of the Congo's Insurance Regulation and Control Authority (ARCA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Agency for Investment Promotion (ANAPI) to integrate insurance considerations into the promotion and support of investment projects. The agreement covers promoting the role of insurance in managing risks linked to investment projects, raising investor awareness of obligations and opportunities under the Insurance Code, and embedding risk management and risk-transfer mechanisms in the support provided to projects eligible under the Investment Code. It also provides for enhanced institutional information-sharing and joint training and communication initiatives, framed as part of wider government reforms to improve the business environment and investor attractiveness.
