The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) president Roberto E. Silva spoke at the 38th Banking Law Congress, using a panel on the deregulation of financial markets to review the CNV board’s deregulation roadmap and the main themes of its recent management, with an emphasis on regulatory innovation and simplification of the capital markets framework. Silva’s remarks, delivered alongside Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) director Nicolás Ferro, highlighted CNV regulatory work linked to the exit from the “cepo”, the reordering and shortening of the CNV’s rulebook, flexibilities applied to rules for different issuers, the Automatic Public Offering Regime, and the CNV’s approach to regulating PSAVs.
