The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) published analytical data on the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s foreign currency reserves and foreign currency liquidity as at the end of February 2025, using the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS) Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity. The SDDS template data are released monthly as part of four Exchange Fund-related press releases issued by the HKMA each month. Three releases disseminate monetary data under the IMF SDDS framework (international reserves, analytical accounts of the central bank, and the reserves and liquidity template), while a fourth release publishes the Exchange Fund’s abridged balance sheet and the Currency Board Account under the HKMA’s transparency policy. The HKMA’s March 2025 release calendar listed 7 March for the SDDS international reserves release and 14 March for the SDDS analytical accounts of the central bank, with both the SDDS reserves and liquidity template and the Exchange Fund abridged balance sheet and Currency Board Account scheduled for 31 March.
