The Central Bank of Egypt published data showing remittances from Egyptians working abroad reached a record level of about USD 41.5bn in 2025, up 40.5% from around USD 29.6bn in 2024. Remittance inflows in the first half of fiscal year 2025/2026 (July–December 2025) rose 29.6% year on year to about USD 22.1bn, compared with around USD 17.1bn in July–December 2024. On a monthly basis, remittances in December 2025 increased 24.0% to about USD 4.0bn, the highest monthly level on record, from around USD 3.2bn in December 2024.

The Central Bank of Egypt reported that remittances from Egyptians abroad reached a record USD 41.5 billion in 2025, a 40.5% increase from USD 29.6 billion in 2024.
