The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago has registered Massy Remittance Services (Trinidad) Ltd. (MRSTL) to carry on the business of an e-money issuer in Trinidad and Tobago using its WIDIT digital wallet app, following the end of a six-month provisional registration period on 2 March 2025. The registration covers the issuance of e-money accounts, cash-in and cash-out, the provision of payment services, and money transfer or remittances. MRSTL is a subsidiary of Massy Financial Services Limited and is also licensed by the Central Bank to operate as a Bureau de Change, while acting as an agent representative for MoneyGram International in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, St. Lucia, and St Vincent and the Grenadines. The Central Bank said it will continue to monitor MRSTL’s operations and compliance with the legislation and guidelines governing e-money, including the E-Money Issuer Order (2020) as amended.

MRSTL, a subsidiary of Massy Financial Services Limited, is also licensed as a Bureau de Change and acts as an agent for MoneyGram International in several Caribbean countries. The Central Bank will monitor MRSTL’s compliance with legislation and guidelines, including the E-Money Issuer Order (2020).
