Jersey's Financial Services Unit has published an address to Jersey Chamber setting out the new Government's four-year economic agenda, centered on affordability, competitiveness, investment and financial stability. The forthcoming Budget and Common Strategic Policy will begin implementing these priorities through targeted cost-of-living measures, tighter control of government costs and reforms intended to make Jersey easier and less costly for businesses to operate in. The agenda includes simplifying planning and regulation, increasing housing supply and using the Jersey Capital Investment Fund to accelerate infrastructure investment. It also emphasizes workforce skills, responsible adoption of artificial intelligence and more practical migration policies. Financial services will remain central through delivery of the Time to Win action plan, launched earlier in 2026 with GBP 30 million in competitiveness funding, while a similar program is being developed for the wider economy. The Government also plans to protect reserves, prioritize expenditure and assess progress through practical outcomes including productivity, government efficiency and business investment.
