The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted a five-day World Bank mission under the Reserves Advisory and Management Program to assess and strengthen its framework for managing foreign exchange reserves, focusing on management principles and investment policies and guidelines. Work during the mission covered a review of existing reserve management principles and potential enhancements aligned with international best practices, an assessment of the current investment policy and guidelines including the Central Bank’s risk tolerance, and recommendations aimed at optimising reserve-management decision-making. Meetings involved senior and middle management as well as staff responsible for reserve management operations, with the Central Bank highlighting that participation in RAMP provides access to tools, analytical support, and global best practices. The Central Bank indicated it will continue work under RAMP on improving investment strategies and optimising the risk-yield ratio.
