The Turks and Caicos Islands Financial Services Commission issued an amended public notice stating that it has been made aware that Siesta Services, Ltd is conducting or purporting to conduct business as a bank or trust company in or from the Turks and Caicos Islands, despite not being authorised. The Commission said Siesta Services, Ltd is not licensed or registered with the Commission and is not authorised to conduct any financial services business in or from within the Islands. It directed the public to the Commission’s website for the list of existing licensed banks and trust companies, urged appropriate due diligence before entering into arrangements with firms claiming to be regulated or licensed by the Commission, and invited the public to share relevant information on questionable entities operating in or from within the Islands.
